music/soundtrack reviews.
Below is a list of the music in order from my favourite to least favourite compilations, and the reasons why I like or dislike them.

  1. Movie Music. The orchestral works are all really appropriate and nifty, in my opinion; suspenseful music in the on-the-edge-of-your-seat scenes, animated music in the amusing and exciting scenes. The song that plays to the ending credits, Shake, Rattle and Roll is groovy, and underscores the fifties time period. Definitely the most professional and engaging of all the Clue soundtracks. The best of the four listed here, definitely.

  2. Computer Game Music. Big piano 1930s-type music. Cool, not overplayed, and keeps you interested throughout. Completely appropriate.

  3. VCR Mystery Game Music. The VCR Mystery Game music is comprised of mainly orchestral dressings, not really any songs, except for the excellent one during the ending credits. Sort of creepy, nonetheless, especially when the harpsichord chimes in. It's all decent, in one way or another.

  4. SNES Game Music. My least favourite music, for the simple reason that there is little music involved. What there is is okay, but except for the opening orchestral theme, the songs are mainly repetitive and silly. If I had to choose a preference, I suppose I'd say that Ms. Scarlet's music (sexy and sly) is the best.
