Clue: The Movie is a complex comedy about a 1950s dinner party and the story behind it. The guests who attend are all the usual Clue guests, plus a French maid named Yvette, a cook, Mr. Boddy himself, and unexpected guests including a motorist, a cop, and a singing telegram girl.

Mr. Boddy is a criminal who has spies who discover serious secrets that Scarlet, Mustard, White, Green, Peacock, and Plum all have. He holds a dinner party and passes himself off as the butler, so the guests don't know his true identity. The spoken purpose of the party is to discuss the blackmail that the guests have been paying. The unspoken purpose of the party is to tempt the guests to kill off the respective spies that had informed upon them. Appropriately, during the course of the party, Boddy's spies show up at the house according to plan and the guests take their turns murdering them. For example, the cop shows up "unexpectedly" to use the phone, and Scarlet sneaks away from the party and kills him, since he had informed on her to Mr. Boddy.

The movie has three endings, and when it was released in theatres, each theatre had a different ending. In the third ending, almost all of the guests had killed one of Mr. Boddy's spies, and Mr. Green turns out to be an FBI agent and he kills Mr. Boddy. His team arrests each of the guests.

All in all, Clue: The Movie is complicated, but it's hilarious and will keep you watching.
