movie review.
Clue: The Movie was, when I first saw it about eight years ago, one of my favourite films. It was certainly an inspiration for this website. Clue: The Movie is is about a 1950s dinner party and the story behind it. The guests who attend are all the usual Clue guests, plus a French maid named Yvette, a cook, Mr. Boddy himself, and unexpected guests including a motorist, a cop, and a singing telegram girl. Mr. Boddy is a criminal who hires spies to discover serious secrets that Scarlet, Mustard, White, Green, Peacock, and Plum all have. He holds a dinner party and passes himself off as the butler, so the guests remain ignorant of his true identity. The spoken purpose of the party is to discuss the blackmail that the guests have been paying. The unspoken purpose of the party is to tempt the guests to kill off the respective spies that had informed upon them. Appropriately, during the course of the party, Boddy's spies show up at the house according to plan and the guests take their turns murdering them.

Very few flaws occur during the film. All of the acting appearances are excellent; Mrs. Peacock's is especially comedic. Fans are given a rare treat that they can rewind and watch again and again.

As for flaws, there is only one I really notice, though if you really think about it, there are more questionable scenes. The one I notice is during the scene when Yvette is screaming because of the poisoned cognac. She is lying about why she is screaming; she couldn't have heard the other guests talking about the cognac because she was busy in the kitchen, killing the cook while they were talking.

Besides a few forgettable flaws, I see Clue as a highly underrated movie. Clue will have you renting it over and over. A definite 9/10.
