The premise of the game is pretty nifty (though not particularly novel), and the interface is easy enough to use. You have to do a lot of dragging and dropping of weapons and characters into boxes to indicate where they were at the time of the crime, as well as to make your accusation, and I imagine this could be a little tricky if you have large fingers, but it is straightforward enough. The images used in the game are colourful and interesting, and the James Bond-esque music is à propos and a nice touch. You can turn the music, sound effects and tips off in the Options menu if you wish, though I found the tips to be useful the first time around.
The overall issue users have with this App is that it's not like the board game, and the App Store description sort of makes it seem like it is. Perhaps because I went into the game with an open mind, I didn't have a problem with it being somewhat of a departure from the traditional game. I give the Clue iPhone/iPod touch edition a 6/10 and recommend it to Clue fans who feel like trying a new play on the game. Long story short, it's worth the $1.99.
