clue/cluedo mysteries game.

The Clue (Cluedo) Mysteries board game was released in 2005. It is based on Clue but differs significantly, its objective being to find a culprit and where they are hiding, rather than to discover who killed where and with what. The Hasbro website offers the following description:

All the usual suspects plus Mr. Body and Inspector Brown to provide the clues. Use your detective toolkit to investigate: The spyglass decodes eyewitness accounts. The secret mirror tips you off if anyone is lying. And the decoding key reveals where the culprit is hiding! Now make your arrest: “I arrest Miss Peach for stealing the sapphire ring.” If your solution is correct, you win!

Crimes occur at a variety of locations, but the specific locations which players can visit and conduct interrogations are as follows:

  • The Town Centre (where the players begin)
  • Tudor Mansion (Dr. Black/Mr. Boddy)
  • Scarlett Theatre (Miss Scarlett)
  • Mustard Lodge (Col. Mustard)
  • White Cottage (Mrs. White)
  • Hampshire Church (Rev. Green)
  • Peacock Residence (Mrs. Peacock)
  • Professor Plum's Castle (Prof. Plum)
  • The Police (Inspector Brown)

The mysteries are many (there are 50 in total that you can solve), and include a forged cheque; a scarlet letter; a message in a bottle; and a vanishing vase.
